Pre-K Early Literacy Playgroups
Our Pre-K Early Literacy Playgroups offer a fun and engaging opportunity for parents and caregivers to join their child in games, songs, and stories as we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of literacy.
Forge Education Literacy Services in Lake Oswego is known for providing outstanding, evidence-based reading and writing instruction to individuals ages 5 through adult.
We’re excited to share that we’ll soon be extending these services to even younger learners!
Did You Know?
Preschoolers are often unintentionally taught incorrect letter sounds, pencil grip, or letter formation, which can lead to difficulties later on.
In 2024, 61% of 3rd graders in Oregon did not meet reading and writing (ELA) achievement standards based on national testing.
Reading ability in first grade strongly predicts reading ability in later grades.
Forge Education’s play-based literacy classes are led by our experienced literacy specialists, giving you peace of mind that your child is correctly learning early reading and writing skills.
During class you will learn how to support your child with the best practices for beginning literacy skills through games, songs and stories. Confidently work with your child at home on reading and writing while bonding through play.
